BUILDING - WIEN HALL
SCOPE OF WORK - BALUSTRADE REPAIR
OWNER - COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
STATUS - COMPLETE
ROLE - PROJECT ARCHITECT
Originally built in 1925 by McKim, Mead and White, Wien Hall currently serves as undergraduate housing for Columbia University. During a routine evaluation I noticed some severe safety hazards with the stone railing and balustrade. As a result a balustrade repair project was initiated.
As Project Architect my duties included:
Site surveying, cost estimation, specification creation, design of the repair details, and drafting the construction documents.
